• Costly mistakes out.
• Your documents hold valuable knowledge. Missing structure and business context can turn that knowledge into unreliable AI input, leading to wrong answers and costly rework.
• Check your PDF or Word file and see what to fix before your AI relies on it.

• What this score checks
• Vision and parsing tools can interpret page content. This check does not simulate their output. It asks what the document already makes explicit, reducing the need to reconstruct structure or infer missing context during ingestion.
• Technical background:
• Google Document AI describes both layout reconstruction and format-specific limitations
• File diagnostics
• Counters and file properties
• Layout counts are heuristic. A detected heading or table is not proof that its intended role was declared or interpreted correctly.
• Fix it at the source
• The people who know the content
• should prepare it for AI.
• Subject matter experts know what a heading means, how a table should be read and when a policy applies. RipAI helps them put that knowledge into the document, before it reaches an AI tool or ingestion pipeline.
• When the source leaves structure or context unclear, ingestion has to infer or reconstruct it. A mistaken table relationship, missing exception or wrong version can become costly rework. Fixing an extracted copy can leave the original problem in place.
• Declare the structure.
• Use real headings, lists and table headers. Explain meaningful images and diagrams. Let the expert confirm the relationships the document is meant to express.
• Less structure to reconstruct
• Add the Context Backbone.
• Record what the document is for, who it applies to, who owns it and which version is approved. Make the expert's business context part of the source.
• Less context to infer
• Carry it into every update.
• Maintain the source as knowledge changes. Export the format your AI workflow needs, then verify that structure and context survive the export and ingestion.
• A source you can maintain
• RipAI puts AI readiness in the hands of subject matter experts, document owners and editors.
• The Context Backbone
• A title, author and date are only the start.
• AI workflows also need the business context: purpose, scope, authority, version relationships and handling rules. The Context Backbone makes that knowledge explicit, with the subject matter expert responsible for getting it right.
• Source traceability
• Keep the passage, version and owner connected.
• These file-level checks support source review. End-to-end citations and version selection depend on the receiving system.
• Quality in. Quality out.
• Remove avoidable guesswork.
• Build AI readiness into the source.
• Your experts know the content. RipAI helps them make its structure, meaning and context explicit, so each update starts from a better source.
• Prepare documents where you write them.
• RipAI for Word guides document owners through readiness checks, source fixes and Context Backbone completion while they write and edit.
